Sinus Tachycardia Disease

DESCRIPTION
Cardiac rate greater than 100 beats per minute. May rarely increase to exceed 160 beats per minute. Every QRS complex follows a P wave.
CAUSES
Cardiac response to fever, anxiety, vigorous exercise, pain, dehydration, shock, left ventricular heart failure, cardiac tamponade, anemia, hyperthyroidism, hypovolemia, pulmonary embolus, myocardial infarction
TREATMENT
Treat the underlying cause
