DESCRIPTION
A condition in which the patient has a sense of fullness or lump in the throat. However, no difficulty is encountered when actually swallowing (i.e., not true dysphagia).
CAUSES
  • Anxiety disorders

Antianxiety agents may be needed although simple reassurance is usually sufficient.
